Year of the Ox T-Shirts

a person with collar shirt

Were you one of the lucky ones to get our limited edition Year of the Golden Ox t-shirts? We gave away almost 500 during the Chinese New Year holiday! If you missed out, don't worry, we still have a few more. Join us for a meal by the end of February!

We wanted to create a t-shirt that celebrates the arrival of the Year of the Golden Ox, yet is cool enough for everyday wear, so we enlisted a seasoned designer friend Kevin Lu, of Redefine Brand. Introducing our two new dim sum mascots, "Bao Bao" and "Har Har" in an upcoming series of our collectible "merch". Their names have multiple meanings if you understand English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

"Har Har" is named after the Har Gow Shrimp Dumpling, which is a staple in Cantonese dim sum. He also likes to laugh with his friends, "Hardy Har Har!" In Cantonese, 蝦餃 or "蝦蝦" is similar to the laughing sound haha "哈哈"!

"Bao Bao" is named after our Signature Baked Barbecue Pork Bun with Crunchy Sugar Crust 雪山叉燒包. We sell so many baked BBQ pork buns, that we just had to create a character after it!  In Mandarin, "包包" or bun also sounds like "抱抱" or to hug. Bao Bao loves to be hugged!

Sending you lots of hugs from Harborview and please tag us on Facebook or Instagram to show off our shirt!
